Turkish Vice President Cevdet Yilmaz is expected to pay an official visit to Kazakhstan on April 14–15, aimed at strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries. A wide range of key cooperation issues will be discussed during the visit.
According to Anadolu Agency, the talks will focus on the current state and future prospects of cooperation in intergovernmental coordination, trade, economy, energy, as well as transport and logistics.
As part of the visit, Yilmaz is scheduled to hold a bilateral meeting with Kazakhstan’s Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov. This will be followed by the 14th meeting of the Kazakhstan–Türkiye Intergovernmental Economic Commission at the delegation level. Several important agreements are expected to be signed following the meeting.
The program also includes a meeting with President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev at the Akorda residence. After the official talks, a business forum and a roundtable discussion with representatives of the business communities of both countries will be held.
Experts note that the visit is particularly significant ahead of the anticipated official visit of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan to Kazakhstan. The sides aim to further coordinate their bilateral agenda and strengthen cooperation in preparation for upcoming high-level engagements.
