A National Tourism Association has been established in Tajikistan. The corresponding decision was made during a meeting of the tourism sector representatives in the republic, reports Kazinform.
The event was attended by the leadership of the Tourism Development Committee of the Republic of Tajikistan, as well as representatives of tourism companies, hotels, restaurants, airlines, and souvenir manufacturers. Eleven companies were identified as the founders of the National Tourism Association of Tajikistan. Additionally, a decision was made to accept other participants of the country’s tourism market into the new organization.
The newly elected head of the association, Umed Saidov, emphasized that the creation of such a structure is a significant step toward uniting the potential of the tourism industry. The association’s activities will focus on developing cooperation between the public and private sectors, protecting the interests of industry entrepreneurs, improving service quality, and promoting Tajikistan’s tourism potential at the international level.
Previously, it was reported that more than 1.7 million tourists visited Tajikistan in 2025. Among them, approximately 37,000 were citizens of Kazakhstan. The overall tourist influx increased by 27.5% compared to the previous year.
