Utility Payment Deferment for Flood-Affected Consumers in Kazakhstan

As several regions of Kazakhstan grapple with severe flooding, local emergency situations have been declared to address the crisis, with affected residents receiving comprehensive assistance.

To alleviate the financial burden on those impacted, the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan has announced measures to defer utility payments for affected consumers. This deferment applies to utility bills due for March and April, allowing consumers to pay at a later date without facing penalties.

Local executive bodies will compile lists of consumers affected by the floods, including their subscriber numbers. These lists will then be forwarded to utility companies, which will implement the necessary measures to defer utility payments accordingly.

In case of any queries or assistance needed, affected consumers are advised to contact the relevant territorial department of Committee for the Regulation of Natural Monopolies of the Ministry of National Economy of the Republic of Kazakhstan (CREM MNE RK) at the following numbers:

  • Department of CREM MNE RK for Akmola region: 8 (7162) 50-43-27;
