Second Humanitarian Shipment Departs Cyprus for Gaza Strip

A convoy of three ships departed from the port of Larnaca on Saturday afternoon, bound for the Gaza Strip, and is anticipated to arrive on the enclave's shores by Tuesday morning. This second humanitarian aid shipment, organized by charitable organizations Open Arms and World Central Kitchen, is carrying 400 tons of food supplies.

The flotilla, consisting of vessels laden with essential goods, embarked on its journey to the Gaza Strip from Cyprus via a designated sea corridor. Among the crucial provisions aboard the ships are staples like rice, lentils, and flour. Additionally, the shipment includes a supply of dates, traditionally consumed to break the fast during the evening meal of Muslims observing Ramadan.

The dispatch of this aid marks another effort to alleviate the humanitarian crisis gripping the Gaza Strip, where residents face ongoing challenges exacerbated by conflict and economic hardships. The arrival of these vital supplies aims to provide much-needed relief to the population, particularly during the holy month of Ramadan.
