Kairat and Tobol Discover Potential European Qualifiers Opponents
FC Kairat Almaty and FC Tobol Kostanay have learned their potential opponents for the third qualifying round of European competitions.
Following the draw at UEFA headquarters, Kairat, facing Cyprus’s Omonia in the Champions League second qualifying round, will play the winner of Levski (Bulgaria) vs. Universitatea Craiova (Romania) in the third round if they progress. Should they drop out, they will transfer to the Europa League third qualifying round to face the loser of Mjällby (Sweden) vs. Lincoln Red Imps (Gibraltar).
Meanwhile, Tobol, who face Lithuania’s Panevėžys in the Conference League second qualifying round, will advance to play the winner of Partizan (Serbia) vs. UNA Strassen (Luxembourg) if they secure a victory.
