49 days later, a cat was rescued from the rubble in Türkiye

A cat was found alive in Türkiye which spent almost 50 days under the rubble after the earthquake.

Rescuers found a live cat after devastating earthquake in the Turkish province of Kahramanmaras. The injured animal spent almost 50 days under the rubble, Turanews.kz reports citing Anadolu Agency.

A two-year-old cat named Khan was found under the rubblet of a bulding that collapsed after the earthquake in Kahramanmarar district. The owner of the pet and his daughter managed to get out of the building but the women could not save Khan.

Since then, the housewife has been trying to find Khan and even spent the night in a car in the yard of her destroyed house.

And finally after 49 days, the animal was found alive.

“This is an incredible miracle for us. I did not lose hope until the last moment, the cat always slept with me. He was seen and found by an excavator and the owner of the house – on the carpet in the kitchen. Then we took him to the veterinarian,” said the owner of Khana.

He was diagnosed with broken paws and dehydration, and injuries to internal organs are suspected.
