The Kazakhstan women’s national football team won an away victory over Armenia in the second round of the group stage of the UEFA Nations League, with a score of 2:1, Turanews.kz reports.
Aselkhan Turlybekova scored in the 27th minute and Arailym Orynbasarova doubled Kazakhstan’s lead in the 57th minute. Veronica Asatryan scored a consolation goal for Armenia in the 54th minute, but Kazakhstan held on for the win.
This is Kazakhstan’s first victory since June 2018, when they beat Bosnia and Herzegovina in the 2019 World Cup qualifiers.
