The Women’s Tennis Association (WTA) has released its updated singles and doubles rankings following the Australian tournament.
Kazakhstan’s top-ranked player Elena Rybakina gained additional points and moved closer to world No. 2 Iga Świątek of Poland, who has 7,978 points. Meanwhile, world No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka of Belarus, who lost to Rybakina in the Australian Open final, now has 10,990 points.
Yulia Putintseva, who reached the fourth round of the Australian Open for the first time in her career, climbed from 94th to 70th place. Zarina Diyas improved her position from 290th to 282nd.
In doubles, Australian Open finalist Anna Danilina moved up from 14th to 11th place in the rankings.
In the ATP rankings, Kazakhstan’s top men’s player Alexander Bublik maintained his 10th position with 3,065 points. He remains close to ninth-ranked American Taylor Fritz, who has 3,840 points.
Alexander Shevchenko returned to the Top 100, rising seven spots to 97th place, while Timofey Skatov improved by 12 positions to reach No. 183.
