Vladimir Putin Arrives in Astana for SCO Summit

On the morning of July 3, Russian President Vladimir Putin arrived in Astana to participate in the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) summit.

Putin will join the meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the SCO, which will be held on July 3-4 in Astana. The main events of the summit are scheduled for July 4.

According to the government press service, “Vladimir Putin was met at the airport by Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov.”

The SCO has nine member states: Kazakhstan, Russia, India, Iran, Kyrgyzstan, China, Pakistan, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan. Additionally, Belarus will officially become a member of the SCO during the summit in Astana.
