Turkish President to visit Kazakhstan for 10th Anniversary Summit of OTS

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan will visit Kazakhstan on November 3 to attend the 10th anniversary summit of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS). The summit will be held in Nur-Sultan, the capital of Kazakhstan, Turanews.kz reports.

The announcement of Erdogan’s visit was made by the Kazakh Foreign Minister, Murat Nurtleu, following a meeting with the Turkish Foreign Minister, Hakan Fidan. Nurtleu said that the two ministers had agreed to “organize and conduct” the summit “at the highest level.”

The Organization of Turkic States is a regional intergovernmental organization of Turkic-speaking states. It was founded in 2009 and currently has eight members: Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkey, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan.

The 10th anniversary summit is expected to be an important event for the Organization of Turkic States. It will be an opportunity for the leaders of the member states to discuss ways to strengthen cooperation and promote the interests of the organization.

In addition to attending the summit, Erdogan is also expected to hold bilateral talks with Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev. The two leaders are expected to discuss a wide range of issues, including trade, investment, and security.
