In 1910, the second International Conference of Working Women took place in Copenhagen. The leader of the women’s group of the Social Democratic Party of Germany Clara Zetkin put forward the idea of celebrating International Women’s Day. There is also another an opinion that the first ever “march of empty pots” of textile workers in New York, which took place on March 8, 1857, became the first of celebration of International Women’s Day.

In modern society, International Women’s Day is a holiday of spring and attention to a woman, when representatives of the strong half of humanity can once again please their loved ones and relatives with gifts and care.
