Samsung Plans to Produce Household Appliances in Kazakhstan

The Ministry of Industry and Construction in Kazakhstan is currently in negotiations with Samsung Electronics to establish production facilities for household appliances in the country.

— “Production of household appliances in the country has increased 3.8 times. Recently, a plant for the assembly and production of Xiaomi TVs was launched in Almaty. We also plan to assemble commercial refrigerators in Turkestan. Simultaneously, negotiations are underway with South Korean company Samsung Electronics and Chinese firm HKC,” stated Kanat Sharlapaev during a government meeting.

Following the meeting, media representatives sought more details about the discussions with Samsung.

— “Samsung is interested, but it is unclear when the deal will be finalized. If our plan materializes, we will produce Samsung household appliances, specifically TVs and washing machines. To attract the company, we need to amend certain regulatory documents,” explained Sharlapaev.

Earlier, Kanat Sharlapaev mentioned facing threats concerning the issue of recycling collection.
