The Mangistau region will host the regional international exercise "Birlestik-2024," featuring military contingents from Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan. These forces will collaborate on combat training tasks.

The exercises will take place at the Oymasha training ground and a sea site two kilometers from Cape Tokmak, according to the Ministry of Defense of Kazakhstan.

From July 8 to July 17, the military units will prepare and conduct a joint operation to localize an armed conflict. Approximately 4,000 military personnel and up to 700 units of weapons and military equipment will participate. The exercises will include tactical episodes involving ground and air reconnaissance groups, naval special forces, army and front-line aviation crews, warships and boats, artillery crews, and assault and tank units.

In addition to military maneuvers, the exercise will feature cultural, leisure, and sports events, including competitions in military applied sports, tactical orienteering “Bagdar,” and army tactical shooting.
