President Tokayev Hosts Head of Republic of Sakha Aisen Nikolaev

Kassym-Jomart Tokayev welcomed the Head of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), Aisen Nikolaev, highlighting the vibrant development of ties between Kazakhstan and Sakha. Notably, the significant increase in mutual trade volume underscores the fruitful collaboration between the two regions.

Tokayev expressed keen interest in furthering cooperation across various sectors, emphasizing the strong bonds shared between the two nations and acknowledging the large delegation accompanying Nikolaev, comprising business and cultural representatives.

The President lauded the recent Days of the Republic of Sakha in Kazakhstan, which showcased cultural, sporting, and investment opportunities, fostering closer ties between the two regions.

In response, Nikolaev expressed gratitude for the warm reception and highlighted the growing dynamics of interaction between Sakha and Kazakhstan. He conveyed words of support to Kazakhstan amid recent flooding challenges.

Nikolaev outlined the agenda for the Days of the Republic of Sakha in Kazakhstan, featuring a range of business, cultural, and sporting events aimed at strengthening bilateral relations.

During the meeting, discussions centered on promising cooperation areas, including agriculture, mining, digitalization, and tourism. Both sides underscored the importance of comprehensive interregional cooperation between Kazakhstan and Russia.
