OTS Secretary General: Karabakh is part of Azerbaijan and the Turkic World

The Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS), Kubanychbek Omuraliyev, has said that Karabakh is “part of Azerbaijan and the Turkic world.”

In an interview with Anadolu Agency, Omuraliyev also said that the OTS member states have a population of over 170 million, but the total population of the Turkic nation in the world exceeds 300 million, and noted that the gross domestic product of the OTS member countries has reached 1.2 trillion dollars.

Omuraliyev also emphasized that the OTS member Turkic states are rich in energy resources and are strong together. He said that the countries are working together to protect their history, culture, and language.

The OTS is an intergovernmental organization founded in 2009 by Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Türkiye, and Uzbekistan. The organization’s main objectives are to promote cooperation among Turkic-speaking states in the fields of politics, economics, culture, and education.
