Mukhtar Avezov’s novel ‘Abai Zholy’ published in Azerbaijani

as of today September 28th, the International Turkic Academy, within the framework of the international scientific and practical conference “M.O. Auezov and World Civilization” which dedicated to the 125th anniversary of Mukhtar Auezov, presented a new edition of the epic novel “Abai Zholy” (The path of Abai) in Azerbaijani.

The first time that the novel was translated into Azerbaijani language, was in 1954 year and published in Baku city. This year, the Turkic Academy published the novel “Abay” in the modern Azerbaijani alphabet and timed to coincide with the 125th anniversary of the prominent writer. After 68 years, the epic novel presented to readers will be distributed to libraries and scientific organizations of the Republic of Azerbaijan. Through the life of the great poet Abai Kunanbaev, the novel comprehensively reflects a whole era in the history of the Kazakh people on the eve of the Soviet period. The work has been translated into more than 120 languages ​​of the world.
