Kyrgyzstan Launches Project for Car Plant in Naryn Region

Kyrgyzstan to establish a car assembly plant in the Naryn region, as part of the "Two Countries, Two Zones" initiative.

This initiative, a collaborative effort between Kyrgyzpochtasy OJSC, the Naryn Free Economic Zone, and the Kashgar Free Economic Zone, aims to bolster economic growth and industrialization in the region.

According to the Ministry of Digital Development’s press service, a tripartite memorandum was recently inked to kickstart the project. Signatories include the Jiabo company, the plenipotentiary representative of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic in the Naryn region, and Kyrgyzpochtasy OJSC.

Chinese investors, led by Jiabo company’s General Director Huang Yongqi, have expressed their commitment to the project by conducting negotiations and considering suitable land plots for the plant’s construction.

Upon completion of construction, the plant will commence production of various types of vehicles, including gasoline, electric, and gas-powered models. This endeavor is expected to generate between 100 and 1,000 employment opportunities for local residents, contributing to economic prosperity and fostering industrial growth in the region.
