Kazakhstan’s National Basketball Team Gears Up for Asian Cup Qualifiers

The Kazakhstan men's national basketball team is gearing up for the qualifying tournament ahead of the 2025 Asian Cup, with an intense schedule of games on the horizon.

Head coach has called up 15 basketball players to prepare for the upcoming matches. The team’s first challenge will be against India on February 23, followed by an away game against Qatar on February 26.

The roster includes players from various basketball clubs, including Balashov Oleg from BC “Irkut Russia” and Kuanov Shaim from BC “Tobol,” among others.

The Kazakhstan team, also known as the “Field Wolves,” will be competing in Group E against Iran, India, and Qatar during the qualifying period.

The game schedule is as follows:

  • November 22, 2024: Iran vs. Kazakhstan
  • November 25, 2024: India vs Kazakhstan

The Asian Cup is scheduled to take place in Saudi Arabia from August 5 to 17, 2025.
