Kazakhstan and China Agree on Mutual Investment Protection

The Senate has ratified the Agreement between the governments of the two countries. Deputy Sergey Ershov noted that the document will update the 1992 treaty, bringing the international legal framework in line with modern standards.
According to Ershov, special attention is given to the legal consolidation of guarantees for the inviolability of property for both investors and the state.
— The agreement strictly regulates the conditions for the legal seizure of assets exclusively for public interests and only under the condition of paying proportionate compensation. It also legally establishes the protected status of national bank assets and defines a clear procedure for dispute resolution in international arbitration institutions, Sergey Ershov added.
