Investment in Kazakhstan’s Furniture Industry Increases Elevenfold

Between January and March 2024, the furniture industry in Kazakhstan attracted investments totaling 1,173.4 million tenge.

This marks an elevenfold increase compared to the same period in 2023, as reported by the Ministry of Industry and Construction of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The directorate for the development of the light, woodworking, furniture industry, and production of building materials, QazIndustry, highlighted that the Turkestan region led the country in investment for this sector. The region attracted 645.1 million tenge in the first quarter of this year, accounting for 55% of the national total. This significant increase is primarily attributed to heightened investment in the production of chairs and other seating furniture, which totaled 645.1 million tenge.
