On the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the Republic of Türkiye , the International Turkic Academy will hold an international conference in Astana on the theme “From the 100th Anniversary of Republic of Türkiye to the Future of the Turkic World.”
This year marks the 100th anniversary of the Republic of Turkey. In this regard, on November 16, 2023, the Turkic Academy, together with the L.N. Gumilev Eurasian National University and the Embassy of the Republic of Türkiye in the Republic of Kazakhstan, will hold an international conference on the topic “From the 100th anniversary of the Republic of Türkiye to the future of the Turkic world”.
Within the framework of the meeting, the presentation ceremony of the book by the famous Turkish historian Afet İnan “Remembering Kemal Ataturk”, translated into Kazakh by the Turkic Academy, will take place.
The book contains the memories and thoughts of a prominent representative of the intelligentsia of the Turkish people, Afet İnan, about the great figure of the Turkic world, the founder of the Turkish Republic, Mustafa Kemal Ataturk. It should be noted that the book was translated into Kazakh by the Turkic Academy for the first time.
In addition, a lecture on the research directions of Professor İlber Ortaylı, who specially came from Türkiye, is planned.
The event will be attended by the President of the Turkic Academy Shahin Mustafayev, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Türkiye to the Republic of Kazakhstan Mustafa Kapucu, Member of the Management Board – Vice-Rector for Science, Commercialization and Internationalization Zhanna Kurmangaliyeva, Ambassador-at-Large of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan Ontalap Onalbekuly, honorary member of the Turkish Historical Society, member of the Board of the International Ottoman Society Professor İlber Ortaylı, Head of the Department of Kazakh Language and Turkology of Nazarbayev University Uli Schamiloglu, as well as public and state figures, literary scholars and intellectuals.
