Football Asian Cup: Semi-Finalists Confirmed – Iran, Qatar, Jordan, and South Korea Advance

The semi-finalists for the ongoing Asian Cup in football have been decided, with Iran, Qatar, Jordan, and South Korea national teams securing their places

The quarter-final matches took place on February 2-3, leading to the announcement of the advancing teams.

In the quarter-final stage, the Iranian national team triumphed over Japan with a 2-1 score, while South Korea secured victory against Australia, also with a 2-1 score in overtime.

Jordan emerged victorious with a 1-0 win against Tajikistan, and the match between Uzbekistan and Qatar ended 1-1 in regular time, with Qatar prevailing in the subsequent penalty shootout.

The semi-finals are scheduled to take place on February 6, featuring a match between Jordan and South Korea. On February 7, Iran and Qatar will compete on the football field.

The Asian Cup has been a regular event since 1956, with Japan winning it four times, Saudi Arabia and Iran three times each, South Korea twice, and Israel, Kuwait, Australia, Iraq, and Qatar winning once each.
