Jorge Rodríguez, the President of the National Assembly of Venezuela, issued a statement regarding the ongoing situation after the country was struck by consecutive earthquakes. Rodríguez reported that the number of fatalities has reached 1,719, while injuries stand at 5,034. He added that a total of 22,619 people were affected, and out of 855 damaged structures, 189 buildings have completely collapsed.
