A system designed to display the names of official organizations for incoming calls is being implemented in Kazakhstan to protect citizens from phone scams. The announcement was made by Vice Minister of Digital Development and Artificial Intelligence, Doszhan Musaliyev, during a briefing at the Central Communications Service.
“In other words, when receiving official calls from banks and service providers, the name of the organization will automatically appear on the phone screen,” stated Doszhan Musaliyev.
These legislative amendments will come into force at the end of August.
