Armenia and Azerbaijan to Hold Talks in Almaty

The foreign ministers of Azerbaijan and Armenia are set to engage in negotiations in Almaty.

President Ilham Aliyev shared this information during a phone call with US Secretary of State Antony Blinken, as reported by the press service of the Azerbaijani President.

The discussion between Aliyev and Blinken encompassed various topics, including Armenian-Azerbaijani relations.

“At the suggestion of the Kazakh side, the foreign ministers of Azerbaijan and Armenia are scheduled to meet soon in Almaty to continue discussions towards a peace agreement,” stated the press service of the Azerbaijani President.

It’s worth noting that President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev proposed Kazakhstan as a platform for peace negotiations on April 15, during his visit to Yerevan. Azerbaijan promptly expressed support for this initiative, with Armenia subsequently indicating its consideration of Tokayev’s proposal.
