Almaty Passes the Title of Youth Capital of the Turkic World to Khiva

The official closing ceremony of the year “Almaty – Youth Capital of the Turkic World 2025” was held in Almaty, the Ministry of Culture and Information announced. The event brought together young leaders, active youth, and representatives of youth organizations from Kazakhstan, Türkiye, Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, and Turkmenistan. The primary goal is to provide an opportunity for youth to exchange experiences, strengthen international ties, and develop shared initiatives.

As part of the three-day program, the participants are taking part in forums, expert meetings, and presentations of youth projects. On the first day of the youth camp, an interactive session dedicated to intercultural dialogue and youth diplomacy was organized. Additionally, a hackathon was held where participants developed new projects and initiatives focusing on psychological support, ecology, digitalization, and social development.

These focus areas align with the tasks outlined by Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, which aim to enhance the innovative potential of youth, develop digital technologies, and improve knowledge and skills in the field of artificial intelligence.

To recall, the city of Almaty was granted the status of the Youth Capital of the Turkic World for the year 2025. On June 14, the official closing ceremony of this international initiative took place, passing the title over to the next city, Khiva.
