Iran Refuses to Resume Talks Until Trump Apologizes

The Iranian delegation has declared that it will not resume negotiations with Washington until U.S. President Donald Trump apologizes for his threatening remarks, TASS reports.

According to Al Mayadeen TV, the Iranian delegation currently in Switzerland for talks with U.S. representatives is not yet ready to resume official contacts. Media reports indicate that Tehran has toughened its stance, demanding a cessation of military operations in Lebanon and the complete withdrawal of Israeli troops from the south of the country. The head of the Iranian delegation advised the U.S. to exercise caution regarding threats.

— Negotiations will not resume until Trump apologizes, — the television channel reported.

Furthermore, Iranian negotiators are demanding not just a temporary halt to hostilities in Lebanon, but the total withdrawal of Israeli forces from Southern Lebanon. As a reminder, it was previously reported that direct talks between the U.S. and Iran were scheduled to begin in Switzerland on June 21, 2026.
