The Minister of Energy, Erlan Akkenzhenov, held a meeting with the Minister of Energy and Natural Resources of the Republic of Türkiye, Alparslan Bayraktar, on the sidelines of the Baku Energy Week (BEW 2026) International Energy Forum in Baku. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The parties discussed prospects for expanding cooperation in the oil and gas, power engineering, and renewable energy sectors. Special attention was paid to the development of the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route (Middle Corridor), interaction between the national companies of Kazakhstan and Türkiye, as well as the implementation of joint projects in the energy sector.
During the meeting, issues regarding the development of petrochemicals, coal chemistry, low-carbon energy, and investment attraction were also reviewed. Following the talks, the sides confirmed their interest in further strengthening the strategic partnership between Kazakhstan and Türkiye in the energy sphere.
