Before the march, a moment of silence was observed to honor the fallen soldiers, and the Azerbaijani national anthem was played. The military orchestra led the procession, accompanied by citizens who joined the event to show their support.
In addition to Baku, similar marches were held in other cities, including Ganja, Khankendi, Lachin, and Shusha, marking significant locations in Azerbaijan’s history.
This year, November 8 marks the fourth anniversary of Azerbaijan’s liberation of Shusha, a symbolic city in the Nagorno-Karabakh region. The counteroffensive that began on September 27, 2020, lasted 44 days, during which more than 300 settlements were freed from occupation. The entry of the Azerbaijani army into Shusha led to the disbandment of the Armenian forces. On November 10, 2020, Armenia signed a declaration acknowledging its defeat and committing to withdraw its troops from Aghdam, Kelbajar, and Lachin.
