Russia’s Three-Day Presidential Elections Kick Off Tomorrow

Starting tomorrow, Russia will embark on its presidential elections, a historic event spanning three days - March 15th, 16th, and 17th.

The upcoming elections will determine the country’s next president, who will serve a six-year term until 2030.

Russian citizens will cast their votes through both secret ballots at polling stations and remote voting methods.

Ahead of the election kickoff, President Vladimir Putin addressed the nation, underscoring the significance of the democratic process for Russia’s future.

“Dear citizens of Russia, dear friends. Tomorrow, March 15th, marks the commencement of three-day voting for the election of the President of Russia. This marks the eighth presidential election in our country, demonstrating the steadfast adherence to democratic principles and electoral regularity,” Putin stated in his televised address on Channel One.

The Central Election Commission has officially registered Vladimir Putin as a candidate, alongside nominees from parliamentary parties: Leonid Slutsky (LDPR), Nikolai Kharitonov (Communist Party of the Russian Federation), and Vladislav Davankov (New People).

The ballot paper, approved by the Central Election Commission on February 9th, will list all four candidates alphabetically, offering voters a comprehensive choice.
