Kazakhstan Rises in Global Tourism Rankings
Kazakhstan has climbed to 52nd place out of 119 in the World Economic Forum's index on travel and tourism development, according to the Ministry of Tourism and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan. This marks a significant improvement from the previous ranking, where Kazakhstan was 66th among 117 countries.
The country received top scores in several categories, ranking 2nd in price competitiveness, 5th in the socio-economic impact of tourism, 23rd in healthcare and hygiene, 30th in natural resources, 48th in cultural resources, 43rd in human capital and labor market, and 47th in tourism infrastructure and services.
Notably, Kazakhstan now holds the highest ranking in Central Asia, surpassing Azerbaijan (56th), Uzbekistan (78th), and Kyrgyzstan (102nd).
