Yulia Putintseva Rises in WTA Rankings

The Women's Tennis Association (WTA) has released an updated ranking of the world's top players, showing an improvement for Kazakhstani player Yulia Putintseva.

Poland’s Iga Szwiatek, who won the WTA 1000 tournament in Rome last week, remains in the lead. Belarusian Aryna Sabalenka is second, while American Cori Gauff holds the third spot.

Kazakhstan’s top tennis player, Elena Rybakina, stayed in fourth place. Yulia Putintseva moved up from 41st to 37th position, getting closer to her best ranking of 27th in the world.

Zhibek Kulambaeva also made significant progress, rising from 499th to 439th place.

In doubles, the leaders are Xie Shuwei from Taipei, Elise Mertens from Belgium, and Erin Ratliff from New Zealand.

Kazakhstan’s Anna Danilina dropped from 51st to 59th position, Zhibek Kulambaeva fell from 138th to 142nd, and Yulia Putintseva went down from 360th to 374th in the doubles ranking.
