Data from the Ministry of Culture and Tourism reveals that 4,341,606 foreign visitors explored the country in January and February, marking a 12% increase compared to the same period in 2023.
Leading the pack in tourist arrivals were Iran (437,905), Russia (433,654), and Bulgaria (345,301). Additionally, Germany and Georgia also contributed significantly to Türkiye’s tourist influx.
The statistics further highlight that in 2023 and the initial two months of 2024, Türkiye welcomed a total of 61,035,443 tourists. Notably, the tourism sector’s revenue soared from $46.5 billion in 2022 to a record high of $54.3 billion in 2023.
