Uzbekistan’s President Emphasizes Turkic States Cooperation

Uzbekistan’s President, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, has underscored the significance of cooperation within the Organization of Turkic States (OTS). On October 30, President Mirziyoyev hosted a meeting with the Secretary General of OTS, Kubanychbek Omuraliev, TuraNews.kz reports.

The discussions revolved around the outcomes of the collaborative efforts undertaken during Uzbekistan’s chairmanship and preparations for the upcoming OTS summit. Over the past year, the multilateral partnership among Turkic states has gained momentum, marked by the organization of more than 100 events and the establishment of various new platforms for practical cooperation.

Uzbekistan’s full membership in the International Organization of Turkic Culture was also highlighted during the meeting.

The discussions encompassed the expansion of mutually beneficial collaboration within the framework of OTS, covering areas such as trade, the green economy, investment, innovation, transportation and logistics, tourism, environmental conservation, youth policies, and the promotion of the rich cultural and historical heritage of Turkic peoples.
