Uzbekistan to Host Events for World Space Week from October 4 to 10
Uzbekistan will join the global celebration of World Space Week with a series of events from October 4 to 10. This annual event, recognized by the UN General Assembly in 1999, is celebrated in around 100 countries during the first 10 days of October.
The Uzbekcosmos Agency has announced several activities across the country. One of the main highlights will be a special exhibition on the history of space exploration, taking place at the Tashkent City Mall from October 4 to 10.
Additionally, the NASA Space Apps Challenge 2024 hackathon will be held on October 5-6 at the Turin Polytechnic University in Tashkent. Organized by Uzbekcosmos in partnership with NASA, the event will feature over 200 young participants, grouped into 40 teams, working on innovative space-related projects.
Schools, lyceums, and universities across Uzbekistan will also host open lessons, discussions, and presentations focused on the theme of World Space Week, further engaging students and the public in space exploration.
