“Shusha is the temple of art, the cradle of Azerbaijani music, the center of our unity and the source of our strength.”
On Thursday, Secretary General of TURKSOY Sultan Raev used this phrase in an interview regarding to the Culture Capital 2023 of Turkic World – Shusha city.
Raev noted that cultural and art figures who address the world from the city of Shusha are very important people both for Azerbaijan and for the entire Turkic world.
Also Secretary General stressed that the brother Azerbaijani people made a great contribution not only to the Turkic world, but also to the entire world culture and civilization. Thanks to the glorious victory of the heroic people of Azerbaijan, the lands liberated from occupation are now a space of freedom, independence, and brotherhood.
“Before, the sounds of shots and mine explosions were heard in the Shusha city but today, the songs of the entire Turkic world are sung here, our voice echoes through the vast expanses of Karabakh,” Raev said.
Pointing out that Shusha has been declared the cultural capital of the Turkic world, he noted that in 2023 the city will host many events in this regard.
