TURKSOY Secretary General Sultan Raev and TIKA President Serkan Kayalar who were in Azerbaijan within the scope of the Official Opening Ceremony of the 2023 Cultural Capital of the Turkic World in Shusha, had a working meeting.
During the meeting held in the capital Baku, delegations headed by Sultan Raev and Serkan Kayalar discussed the cooperation between TURKSOY and TIKA.
Emphasizing that TIKA is one of the most important organizations working towards the Turkic World, TURKSOY Secretary General Raev expressed his gratitude for the work of TIKA and its unique contributions to the activities of TURKSOY. Noting that this contribution is seen in the numerous activities of TURKSOY for the cultural unity of the Turkic World in a wide geography from the Altai to the Balkans, Raev stated that his wishes are to continue this cooperation even more.
Referring to the works carried out in cooperation with TIKA in detail, Raev gave information about the activities carried out regarding the 30th Anniversary Celebrations of TURKSOY, which will be held in the nearest future, and the important works carried out in the last year.
Stating that they appreciate TURKSOY’s work, TIKA President Serkan Kayalar noted that cultural integration is one of the most important elements that bring rights closer together. Emphasizing that the Presidency will continue to contribute to the culture and art of the Turkish peoples, Kayalar emphasized that they want the younger generation, who has adopted the culture and art understanding of the digital age, to get acquainted with classical culture and art more closely, and that they attach importance to the studies carried out in this direction. Touching on the importance they attach to the historical, cultural and architectural values of the Turkic geography during the meeting, Kayalar presented the “Turkistan Album”, prepared by the Presidency in this context, to the Secretary General of TURKSOY, Raev.
On the other hand, TURKSOY Secretary General Raev presented Kayalar with a commemorative plate prepared by his Organization dedicated to Shusha, the Cultural Capital of the Turkic World in 2023.
