TurkPA to Observe Referendum in Kazakhstan

Kazakhstan’s Ambassador to Azerbaijan Alim Bayel met with the Secretary General of the TurkPA Ramil Hasan, according to Kazinform.

During the meeting, Alim Bayel highlighted the importance of TurkPA within broader Turkic cooperation and expressed hope for further systematization of the organization’s activities.

The ambassador noted that on February 11, President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev signed a decree scheduling a nationwide referendum on the adoption of a new Constitution for March 15, 2026.

On behalf of Kazakhstan’s Foreign Minister Ermek Kosherbayev, an official invitation was extended to Ramil Hasan to participate in the upcoming plebiscite as an international observer.

Ramil Hasan thanked for the invitation and confirmed that the TurkPA delegation would actively take part in observing the referendum.

The Secretary General also praised the political reforms underway in Kazakhstan and briefed the ambassador on the organization’s plans for 2026.
