Turkmenistan President Meets with Tatarstan Republic Head

President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov recently held discussions with Rustam Minnikhanov, the head of the Republic of Tatarstan in the Russian Federation. Minnikhanov's visit to Turkmenistan was in honor of the celebrations marking the National Day of the Turkmen Horse.

During their meeting, the leaders explored the current state and future prospects of collaboration between Turkmenistan and the Republic of Tatarstan. They highlighted the extensive experience gained through years of joint efforts in various economic projects, TuraNews.kz reports citing Turkmenistan.ru.

Particular attention was given to the Turkmen-Tatarstan working group dedicated to fostering trade, economic, scientific, technical, and cultural cooperation. This group was identified as a crucial instrument in advancing the partnership between Turkmenistan and the region of Tatarstan in Russia.

Minnikhanov expressed the interest of Tatarstan’s business community in expanding its presence in Turkmenistan’s promising market. He underscored the favorable investment climate in Turkmenistan and the country’s reputation as a dependable partner known for fulfilling its commitments. The meeting concluded with mutual well-wishes, reaffirming the enduring friendly relations between the two nations.

In addition to meeting with President Berdimuhamedov, Minnikhanov also held discussions with Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, the national leader of Turkmenistan and Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan, during his visit to the country.
