In Ashgabat, discussions between Turkmenistan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Rashid Meredov, and Azerbaijan’s Minister of Economy, Mikail Jabbarov, centered on the potential supply of Turkmen gas and electricity to Azerbaijan, TuraNews.kz reports citing the press service of Turkmenistan Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The talks specifically highlighted collaboration in the fuel and energy sector, signifying a significant aspect of the bilateral relationship. The ministers, recognizing the vibrant growth of bilateral ties, underscored the significance of high-level negotiations in reinforcing political and diplomatic dialogue.

Trade relations, witnessing constant expansion, were a focal point during the meeting, with both parties exploring avenues to enhance trade ties and discover novel forms of partnership.

Beyond energy concerns, the dialogue encompassed topics like transport communications, seaport utilization, as well as collaboration in the realms of information technology and telecommunications.

The cultural and humanitarian dimension emerged as a crucial component in bilateral relations, with plans outlined for joint events commemorating the 300th anniversary of Magtymguly Fragi’s birth.

Ministry leaders underscored the robust foundation for comprehensive cooperation, citing the cultural and historical affinities between the two nations as a catalyst for continued development.
