Türkiye Becomes Champion of the 2026 Volleyball Nations League
The final of the 2026 Women's Volleyball Nations League (VNL 2026) was intense and captivating.
Although the Brazilian national team took the initiative in the first set, taking the lead with a score of 25–23, the Turkish players took control of the game in the subsequent sets.
In yesterday’s VNL 2026 final match, the Turkish women’s national team defeated Brazil 3–1 (23–25, 25–23, 26–24, 25–21) to claim the championship title. Scoring 33 points in the match, Melissa Vargas was once again named the Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the tournament.
Coached by Daniele Santarelli, the Turkish team raised the VNL trophy for the second time in its history (following their first title in 2023).

3rd place: Italy (defeated China 3–1 in the bronze medal match)
It is worth noting that the Turkish team is considered one of the main favorites for the upcoming 2026 European Championship (EuroVolley 2026). The Women’s European Volleyball Championship will take place from August 21 to September 6, 2026.
The prestigious tournament will be co-hosted by four nations — Türkiye, Azerbaijan, the Czech Republic, and Sweden. Playing on home soil, the Turkish volleyball players are regarded as the primary contenders for the gold medal at this championship as well.
