Türkiye-Armenia border crossing opened for first time in 35 years

A border gate between long-feuding Türkiye and Armenia has been opened for the first time in 35 years to allow aid for victims of the devastating earthquakes in southern Türkiye, Turanews.kz reports citing Anadolu news agency.

Humanitarian supplies collected in Armenia, on five trucks, along with members of the Armenian delegation, proceeded through the checkpoint to Turkey.

The Armenian delegation was met by representatives of the Armed Forces and the Ministry of Emergency Situations in the Turkish province of Ygdir. After completing the necessary procedures, the delegation went to the disaster zone.
