Erdogan Makes First Visit to Egypt in 12 Years.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan arrived in Egypt on Wednesday, February 14, marking his first visit to the country in 12 years.

Upon his arrival at Cairo International Airport, President Erdogan was warmly welcomed by Egyptian President Abdelfattah El-Sisi and Turkish Ambassador to Egypt, Salih Mutlu Shen.

Accompanying President Erdogan on this state visit are his wife, Emine Erdogan, along with several high-ranking officials including Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, Minister of Treasury and Finance Mehmet Şimşek, and Minister of National Defense Yaşar Güler, among others.

The official welcoming ceremony for President Erdogan will be held at the Al-Ittihad Presidential Palace, followed by bilateral discussions with President El-Sisi in both one-on-one and expanded formats. The leaders are expected to address various bilateral and regional matters, culminating in a joint press conference.

In addition to diplomatic engagements, President Erdogan will also attend a dinner party hosted in his honor by Egyptian authorities, further underscoring the significance of this historic visit in strengthening bilateral ties between Turkey and Egypt.
