Turkish President Erdogan visits Russia for talks on Black Sea Grain Corridor

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan visited Russia on Monday for a one-day working visit. He was accompanied by Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan and Minister of Industry and Technology Mehmet Fatih Kajir, Turanews.kz reports.

The most important item on the agenda of the talks between Erdogan and Russian President Vladimir Putin was the Agreement on the Black Sea Grain Corridor, which was agreed upon in June but has since been stalled. The agreement is aimed at resuming the export of Ukrainian grain through the Black Sea, which has been blocked by the Russian navy.

The parties also discussed the latest developments in the Russian-Ukrainian war, the state of bilateral Turkish-Russian relations, including cooperation in energy, trade, economy, and tourism.

Erdogan said that he hoped the talks would be productive and that he would work with Putin to find a solution to the grain crisis.
