Transportation of Kashagan oil starts along the Aktau-Baku route

Транспортировка осуществляется танкером «Хошбахт Юсифзаде»

Transportation of Kashagan oil has begun along the Aktau-Baku route, Turanews.kz reports citing the Azerbaijan Caspian Shipping Company.

Transportation is carried out by the tanker “Khoshbakht Yusifzade”.

The volume of the first batch of crude oil loaded into the tanker is 6,900 tons. Kashagan oil will be delivered from Aktau to the Sangachal terminal.

The carrying capacity of the tanker “Akademik Khoshbakht Yusifzade” is 7800 tons.

Akademik Khoshbakht Yusifzade can carry both oil and chemical products. Compared to other ASCO tankers, the vessel’s draft allows it to enter relatively small ports of the Caspian Basin and transport cargo outside the Caspian Sea through Russian water utilities with maximum load.
