Kyrgyz film "Shambhala" wins two awards at international festival in India
The film “Shambala” by the Kyrgyz director Artykpai Suyundyukov won two awards at the film festival in India, the press service of the Ministry of Culture of Kyrgyzstan reports.
the film won the “Best Film” and the “King Shivaji Maharaj Global Leadership Award” at the Chhatrapati Shivaji International Film Festival in India.
The film “Shambala” directed by Artykpai Suyundykov was based on Chingiz Aitmatov’s novel “The White Ship”.
Also “Shambala” won several prizes such as the Russian Nika Film Award in April 2021, the award for Best Director at the International Film Festival in Calcutta (India).
