The Kazakh Kurutalai in Mongolia: The event that brought Kazakhs from all over the world together

A Kazakh delegation which was lead by the organization “Otandastar Qory” visited Mongolia to attend the small kurultai of the Kazakhs of Mongolia, Turanews.kz reports.

The Delegation consisted of;

  • The President of the Otandastar Fund NJSC Abzal Saparbekuly
  • The Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to Mongolia Gabit Beibituly Koishybaev
  • Deputies of the Mazhilis of the Republic of Kazakhstan Unzila Shapak, Nurgul Tau, Zharkynbek Amantai
  • Veteran diplomacy Sailau Batyrshauly
  • Writer Kadirbek Kunypiya
  • Editor-in-chief newspapers “President and people” Marat Tokashbaev
  • Writer Auyt Mukibek
  • Professor of Mimar Sinan University in Türkiye Abdulvahap Kara
  • Leaders and representatives of the non-governmental organization “Er Birligi”, which operate in Nalaykh district.

The delegation met with the akim of the Nalaikha district of Ulaanbaatar and the deputies of the maslikhat. They also met with Kazakh compatriots living in the Nalaikh district,

The delegation discussed the goals and objectives of the Otandastar Fund, state support for Kazakhs planning to immigrate to Kazakhstan, and the Ata Zholy card for ethnic Kazakhs abroad. They also discussed the preservation of the Kazakh language and culture in Mongolia, the popularization of national traditions, and strengthening Kazakh-Mongolian relations.

The delegation visited the NGO El Birligi center in Nalaikha and learned about the courses in the Kazakh language, dombra, and Kazakh speech conducted by the society. They discussed the challenges of speaking in the Kazakh language among children and youth, and the need for further study of foreign experience, exchange of specialists in various fields, and conducting bilateral research among compatriots. The delegation proposed to open branches of Kazakh schools in Mongolia, as one of the ways for future generations to get an education in their native language.
