President of Russian Federation Vladimir Putin signed the Decree “On the establishment of the State Fund for Supporting Participants in the “Special Military Operation” Defenders of the Fatherland,” the Kremlin press service reported on Monday morning.

The corresponding document entitled “Decree of the President of the Russian Federation dated April 3, 2023 No. 232 “On the establishment of the State Fund for Supporting Participants in the Special Military Operation Defenders of the Fatherland” was published on the official Internet portal of legal information.

“The Fund’s activities are aimed at organizing and providing support and assistance to veterans of military operations who took part (contributed to the implementation of combat missions) in a special military operation from September 30, 2022, dismissed from military service (service, work),” follows from the text of the decree .

The document notes that the founder of the Fund on behalf of the Russian Federation is the government of the country, and its activities and the formation of property are carried out at the expense of the federal budget, voluntary property contributions and donations, as well as other sources in accordance with the legislation of the Russian Federation.

According to the text of the document, the first deputy head of the presidential administration, Sergei Kiriyenko, was appointed chairman of the supervisory board of the fund called Defenders of the Fatherland and Anna Tsivileva, president of the Kolmar company, wife of the governor of the Kemerovo region, was appointed chairman of the fund.
