President Tokayev Reviews Kazpost’s 2023 Performance and Future Plans

President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev met with Asel Zhanasova, Chairman of the Board of Kazpost JSC, to discuss the company's 2023 achievements and financial status.

During the meeting, Zhanasova reported that Kazpost had turned a profit for the first time in five years, amounting to 2.4 billion tenge ($5.5 million), and paid 1.5 billion ($3.4 million) tenge in dividends to shareholders. Additionally, tax contributions and duties totaled 32.7 billion ($74.2 million) tenge.

Zhanasova highlighted significant operational improvements, including a 35% increase in parcel volume and a doubling of domestic delivery speed over the past year. She also announced a new partnership with YTO Express Group.

Plans were revealed for a high-tech Class A warehouse in Almaty, spanning approximately 40,000 square meters. This facility aims to become a pivotal transit hub in the Eurasian region, enhancing Kazakhstan’s transit routes between China, the EU, the EAEU, and Central Asia.

President Tokayev was also briefed on the current state of Kazpost’s infrastructure and nationwide branch network. Concluding the meeting, he emphasized the importance of continuing efforts to strengthen the company’s financial health and expand its logistics capabilities.

Kazpost is the national postal operator in the Republic of Kazakhstan and one of the fastest growing companies in the former Soviet Union which provides a full range of postal and financial services throughout the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan including all cities and settlements.
