President Tokayev Reaffirms Strategic Alliance During Meeting with Turkish Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz

President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev welcomed Turkish Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz to Astana for high-level talks on bilateral cooperation.

Highlighting that there are no contradictions in the relationship between Kazakhstan and Turkiye, the President emphasized the upcoming state visit of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan on May 14 as a pivotal moment for signing new strategic agreements.

Vice President Yılmaz presented the outcomes of the 14th Intergovernmental Commission meeting held with Prime Minister Oljas Bektenov. A joint action plan was signed, serving as a comprehensive “road map” for trade and economic relations, specifically focusing on manufacturing, energy, and logistics.

The meeting also addressed regional stability, with President Tokayev confirming his attendance at the upcoming Antalya Diplomacy Forum and praising Turkiye’s constructive role in Middle Eastern affairs.
